World Poker Store Has High Hopes For The Future

The World Poker Store was proud to present its fifth World Series of Poker seat through its formidable Bar Poker League this January. It was handed out at the Texas Hold ‘em State Finals Tournament in Morton, MN at the Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel. The competition was Saturday January 19th and hosted over 500 players from the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota each breaking into 42 teams of 8 players. The World Poker Store’s Bar Poker League had over 1,000 players (including guests) and was given its fifth $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat.

Just as Wisconsin and Minnesota are beginning their new 6 month season of poker tournaments the Bar Poker League in Florida is also beginning their first State Finals starting February 17th. They are looking at having over 1,000 in attendance (a mix of players and guests) and will be awarded a $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat from the World Poker Store as well. The Bar Poker League Florida has over 30 locations for and is becoming more and more popular in Southwest Florida.

They can afford to have fun and they use this money to help more than just the poker players that are attending. When it comes to charity they do their part to help those in need. They work together with the Boys and Girls Club in order to host many Texas Hold ‘em tournaments for charity. Each of the smaller tournaments take place at one of the many locations. The main event is held at the Lee Civic Center and everything will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Lee County in Florida.

The World Poker Store is staying quite busy this year and has already made plans this week to launch the Washington Bar Poker League. With this new addition they will officially be expanding the league out farther to the west beyond Minnesota and Wisconsin. But conquering all of the U.S. is only a small goal for them to accomplish. They are trying to come to a deal with Europe and China to set up new leagues and stores so that they can be all over the world.

"This is just the beginning of a great year for The World Poker Store as our efforts to develop revenue streams around the world will come to fruition," said CEO for World Poker Store, Chuck Chastain. "We expect to reap the benefits of all our hard work over the past few years and continue to capitalize on the popularity of poker through our website, bar league, retail stores, loyalty card program and upscale entertainment clubs in 2008 and beyond.”

It helps to have some of the best international poker players on their team in order to accomplish all of their goals. Marcel Luske, Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, Patrik Antonius, Liz Lieu, and Hoyt Corkins all sit on the advisory board of the World Poker Store and help to give advice and to help them begin poker programs in many of the foreign countries.
