WSOP Primer Available For Ambitious Players
The World Series of Poker Main Event is easily the single most prestigious tournament in poker right now. It is the event that everyone wants to win because once you have won that tournament, you will never be thought of as anything other than an elite poker player for the rest of your life.
Just like the World Series of Poker Main Event, the World Series of Poker Main Event Primer is something that only comes along once every year. This year, it is being hosted by Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke, although there are other big names as expected teachers. The list is long and includes people like Greg Raymer, Mark Seif, Phil Gordon and Joe Navarro. All of these professionals have something to teach and they will teach it to anyone that is willing to shell out the $2500 required to actually earn a seat at the primer.
Last year, some of the people that decided to pay that extra money ended up making good on their investment multiple times over. Aaron Keay and Allen Kennedy both entered the primer and ended up 49th and 50th respectively in the Main Event. Both of them paid $2500 to get into the primer and both of them took home prizes of $135,100. Not a bad return on investment for anyone in any business.
This year’s primer will have four distinct teaching areas. The first will be the seminar zone where questions and answers will be shooting back and forth. The second will be the video zone where footage from previous WSOP Main Events is analyzed. The third will be the practical zone where the top professionals in the world demonstrate some live hands. The fourth and final zone will be the tournament zone, with private multi-table tournaments available for some people. In the end, a WSOP Main Event seat will also be available, making the $2500 investment one that could be parlayed into a seat at the real thing.
Whether a person is able to win or whether they bust out early, the WSOP Primer is definitely an experience they will not forget. That is why, even in the current recessionary times, it is still expected to sell out.
