In an effort to shake things up a little bit, the World Series of Poker has decided to go ahead and do something drastically different for the bracelets that they hand out at the different poker events this year. This year and for the first time in the history of the World Series of Poker, the bracelets that are created are set to be branded personally with the names of the people that win them. These bracelets are set to become much more than simple keepsakes this time because of the fact that they will have the winner’s name on them.

Traditionally, bracelets at the World Series of Poker have been awarded to the winner of each of the events included under the WSOP banner. These bracelets have therefore become the most coveted prize in the poker industry and people like Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan that have won double-digit numbers of bracelets are regarded as being the world’s best tournament poker players.

The branding of the bracelets and their general construction will be carried out by Steve Soffa, a jewelry designer that has made his mark on the world with previous work for such prestigious companies as Universal Pictures and Microsoft.

Soffa is doing the work as part of a contract with On Tilt Designs PTY LTD, the same company that has been responsible for the creation of many different product lines featuring branded merchandise. The bracelets are definitely going to be their big ticket item and for that reason the May 28th deadline for showing the bracelets to the public is definitely a big day in the history of that company.

As for the practical considerations involved, Soffa and representatives from On Tilt Designs will actually be on hand for all of the events that are set to end at the Rio Hotel and Casino where World Series of Poker tournaments take place. When the winner is chosen, the engraving will be done right on the spot. Furthermore, this year each WSOP bracelet comes with its very own container custom made for this very occasion. A certificate of authenticity will also be included with each one.
