WSOP Europe Schedule Released

As has been customary during the short time that the WSOP Europe events have been run, the World Series of Poker media package for the start of the events in Las Vegas also included with it a schedule of the events that are being run as part of the WSOP Europe promotions during the month of September.

The intense success of the events last year has led the organizers of the tournament to add one more event into the mix. Now, the WSOP Europe schedule will comprise five events instead of the four that were run during the 2009 series and that in turn means that there will be more people and more money involved in the series in 2010.

The first tournament starts on September 14th and is a £2500 + £150 tournament of six-handed No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em. The second tournament begins on September 16th and is a £5000 + £250 tournament of Pot Limit Omaha. The third tournament begins on September 17th and is a £1000 + £75 tournament of No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em. The fourth tournament begins on September 21st and is a £10,000 + £350 tournament for high rollers of Heads Up No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em.

Many of these tournaments will stagger over each other of course and therefore there will be times during the series when more than one tournament will be on at the same time. The schedules are absolute however and therefore what needs to be done in terms of eliminations will be done before play ends each day just like at the actual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

The main event of the WSOP Europe series will start on September 23rd and go through to the 28th with the buy-in the same £10,000 that is attached to the high rollers event.

Like all of the events last year, the WSOP Europe tournaments this year will be run through the Casino at the Empire which is located in Leicester Square in London, England. It is in fact the very location of the tournaments in England that determines the currency being used in both the buy-ins and the prizes.
