VIPs back in style at Titan Poker

Titan Poker is the flagship poker operation in the iPoker Network, the largest non-US player network in the world for online poker. They have recently agreed to bring back the VIP program and it will be unveiled to the world on July 1st, with points earned in June counting towards the VIP status for that month.

The VIP status revolves around different levels of VIP that you can gain by earning a certain number of Titan Poker Points. Every player is automatically a Bronze Level player and when they earn 1000 points in a single calendar month, they shift up to the Silver. 5000 points is the threshold for Gold. 10,000 points equates to Platinum. 17,000 points equates to Titanium and the highest level of Diamond can be achieved by players earning 35,000 points in a single calendar month.

The biggest advantage of players achieving these higher levels is that their points get multiplied as they earn them at the higher levels. When you are a Bronze for example, you are earning 17 points per $1 in rake generated. But when you bump up to Silver, you get a 20% bonus. This bonus becomes 40%, 60%, 100% and 120% for the Gold, Platinum, Titanium and Diamond levels respectively.

The particularly shrewd player at this point in the article might be wondering what the importance of racking points happens to be if the only benefit of getting to the higher levels is being able to get a positive modifier towards points collected. Well, the main benefit is that Titan Poker also has a cash for points exchange program and the more points you exchange in one go, the better off your exchange ratio will be. Normally, you would get $1 for 200 points, but that number can be knocked down to 144:1, 133:1, 100:1, 91:1, 80:1, 75:1, 71:1, 65:1 and 58:1 depending on the number of points you choose to hand in at once.

Combine this with the modifier multiplications on the higher levels and the only conclusion that can be reached is that being a Diamond level player is an extremely sweet deal.
