Poker Stars to tangle with Full Tilt Poker over WPT Sponsorship

The two largest sites in the history of online poker have joined forces with the most successful television poker event in history in order to create a melding of the greats that has never before been seen in the online poker world.

In the United States and Mexico, Full Tilt Poker will be the title sponsor of the seventh season of the World Poker Tour. For all of the broadcasts of the World Poker Tour events that air in either of those countries, Full Tilt Poker will have their own title sponsor privileges, one of which happens to be the rights to seamless branding throughout all of the World Poker Tour broadcasts. Full Tilt Poker is the second largest site the online poker world has ever seen and the World Poker Tour is certainly glad to have them on board.

In spite of that, what makes the sponsorship deal even sweeter is the fact that Poker Stars will have the same benefits to any broadcasts that occur in Canada, Germany, Italy and Holland. All four of these countries will receive similar telecasts to those in the United States and Mexico, but the main difference will be that instead of the seamless integration of the Full Tilt Poker brand, they will instead get the Poker Stars brand as the latter site is the title sponsor for those particular broadcasts. Poker Stars is the largest site that online poker has ever seen and has already agreed to help with broadcasts in Latin America through dubbing of Spanish native-language telecasts, something that they have experience with through their sponsorship of the European Poker Tour.

This combination is something akin to when the Dream Team first played their basketball at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The World Poker Tour is arguably the most successful poker show in the history of poker television and both Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars have already received legendary status in their respective fields. For that reason, this collaboration represents a putting forward of the best and brightest that competitive poker currently has to offer, something that pleases many industry analysts to no end.
