Poker Stars isn’t known as the online poker site for tournament players for no reason. They have the biggest tournament selection, the most varied selection and of course the largest prize pool of tournaments collectively. They are also quite innovative at coming up with new ways to inspire their players to play in those tournaments and this year they’ve done exactly that with their summer tournaments.

These two tournaments are essentially the same promotion but split into two parts. The first part of this promotion will take place on May 30th, 2010. Normally, Poker Stars would offer a large cash prize to the winner in this tournament, but they have decided to change things up a little bit and add some spice to the tournament. Because of that, the new grand prize in this Poker Stars tournament is now a Harley Davidson Sportster, one of the most sought after motorcycle models in the world today.

That’s not where things end however as Poker Stars has more than that in store for its loyal customers. Two weeks later on June 13th, 2010, the second tournament in the promotion will begin. This second tournament is also the last tournament in the two-part promotion and as its grand prize will include a Mustang Convertible. Both prizes are brand new and will be shipped to the winner of each tournament.

In order for players to be eligible for entering the tournament, a $25 deposit before the tournament is required. New players can sign up to do this and old players can simply reload their accounts with that minimum amount of money.

In both cases, players that do not want the prizes can opt to take a cash prize instead, so even if you don’t want a new vehicle it is still worth your while to enter these tournaments. The motorcycle and car have respective cash values of $10,000 and $25,000 so it is no surprise that those are the cash prize options being offered. As a player, once you’ve won the tournament, you can indicate to the Poker Stars support staff which of the cash or vehicle prizes you would prefer.
