Poker Stars was definitely quick off the draw as far as the creation of live poker tour circuits is concerned. Since everyone was around to witness the amazing success the World Poker Tour (WPT) has had, everyone has been trying to replicate that success for their own poker tours. Although the overall place of Poker Stars in terms of successfully doing this is something that we must wait a few years to determine, there is no question that the largest website in the history of online poker has been pushing hard with the creation of multiple new circuits.

One of those new circuits was the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), although that circuit is now a relative veteran in comparison to come of the newer ones as it is now starting its third season of existence.

The flagship event of the LAPT has always been the Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure and the third season is not going to depart from tradition in this respect. The Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure will be run from January 4th to January 14th in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.

In spite of it being the flagship event however, it is preceded by another event that will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica from November 19th to November 22nd. The third event will be held in Uruguay from February 24th to February 27th. The fourth event will be held in Chile from March 19th to March 23rd and the fifth and final event will take place in Argentina at some point after that with a date still to be determined.

As is the case with all of their live poker events, Poker Stars is running satellite tournaments on their website to those events. You can enter a satellite for as little as $2.22 and you potentially have the ability to parlay that into a payday worth hundreds of thousands of dollars at one of these live tournaments. The satellite tournaments will be available well in advance of the live events to give players a chance to arrange travel and accommodations to the country where the tournament is being held.
