We were excited to hear that NBC was preparing to begin its fourth annual NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship. This year it was contested in Las Vegas, Nevada at Caesars Palace early last month. This newest segment will include listings of the ‘featured’ match ups from the first two episodes (these will cover the opening round of 64) and the six weeks of heads up action that we have been waiting patiently to see.

Chris Ferguson was the winner of the championship. He was able to win against Andy Bloch in a best of three final that will have everyone at the edge of their seat. We have heard that in this season we will get a chance to see the former LA Dodgers – Orel Hershiser – prove his skills at the table and make his way to the quarterfinals before he was finally eliminated by And Bloch.

Joining the cast of NBC this year was the ever beautiful and talented Leeann Tweeden. Tweeden is a model and was a host for many of the top shows hosted by Fox Sports. We are happy that NBC has stolen her over to their side and even more delighted that she was able to join in time to co-host the 2008 NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship. She will soon become a favorite among fans as NBC’s favorite poker host.

NBC filmed the show from February 29th to March 3rd, 2008. The first show will air on NBC this Sunday. We have provided listings and the schedule for the National Heads Up Poker Championship.
