What makes this promotion so interesting is the fact that it allows random people to potentially win big amounts of money. The way it works is that starting with a hand that was dealt earlier on in the day, Party Poker started counting in intervals of 50,000 hands. For every interval, a jackpot hand under the Genius Program is created. That jackpot hand will have the value of the pot squared up to a maximum of $5000 and a minimum of $100. The person that won the pot wins the normal pot amount while the amount above the actual size of the pot is split equally amongst players that had cards dealt to them in the hand. This promotion will continue for 10 million hands with every interval of 50,000 seeing a hand that will do what was mentioned above.

This means that if you have a hand where the pot was $10, the winner of the pot would get that $10 and the other $90 will be split amongst all of the people that had cards at the start of the hand. Similarly, if the square of the jackpot does not allow it to reach $100 in total, the pot will be bumped up to $100 anyway. The same is true for a square of a pot that makes it go over $5000. $100 is the minimum and $5000 is the maximum under the Genius Program at Party Poker.
