Full Tilt Poker Introducing Changes for 2010
The end of a calendar year is usually a good time for online poker sites to introduce changes to their online poker operation for the upcoming year. Traditionally, there are many online poker sites that do make major announcements during this period of time. Full Tilt Poker is one of the sites doing it for the 2010 year as it looks as though they have at least two major changes coming the way of players in the New Year.
The first of those changes has to do with the VIP system that Full Tilt Poker uses. They have extended the clearance period for the Iron Man bonus at the end of the year to 45 days from 31 days and they have also promised changes that will likely see more promotions added to the VIP system to stand alongside things like the Iron Man promotion that are already very popular aspects of the online poker operation at Full Tilt Poker.
The second of the major changes is probably the one that will be talked about more since Full Tilt Poker has confirmed that in 2010 the minimum buy-in for their standard cash game tables will be raised. At the moment, it is 20 big blinds, an amount that has allowed players to buy in for the minimum and then play all-in or fold poker in an attempt to double their stack and then leave the table. This is not a popular strategy amongst typical players and in an effort to appease the majority, Full Tilt Poker has taken steps similar to Poker Stars and Party Poker.
Nobody at the moment is sure exactly what the new minimum will be at Full Tilt Poker standard cash game tables. Additionally, people are not sure whether other promotions will be forthcoming. It appears as though there are other things planned for 2010 from Full Tilt Poker, but right now it is difficult to pin their representatives down on anything more concrete than what was mentioned above.
Even with that lack of total information, it appears as though Full Tilt Poker will start off the 2010 year with big news.
