Full Tilt Mini FTOPS Starting
In the wake of its successful 14th installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS), Full Tilt Poker has commenced the 14th installment of its MiniFTOPS series. This series has smaller cash prizes in most of the tournaments, but the trade-off is that the entry fees are also smaller and that in turn makes it easier for other players to get in.
In total, MiniFTOPS XIV will be giving away 20% of the same prize pool as FTOPS XIV ($4 million to $20 million respectively), but all of the tournaments that are involved in the series will have 10% of the buy-in of their larger counterparts. For any player involved, those are certainly some pretty good odds.
The series started on December 9th and will be running through to the 20th of the same month. The final event will be the championship no limit hold ‘em finale which has a $55 buy-in for a chance to win a chunk of a guaranteed prize pool worth a total of $600,000.
Another interesting aspect of this MiniFTOPS tournament is the fact that it will have a running tally of the prizes and points that players have taken from each tournament. These tallies will be kept in a leader board over the entire tournament series. At the end of the series, the person at the top of that board will get entries into all of the tournaments for FTOPS XV when that event takes place. In total, that would be the same as receiving a $7,500 cash prize.
Full Tilt Poker has long had a history of trying to appeal to as many different people as possible and their FTOPS and MiniFTOPS tournaments have always tried to do that. This MiniFTOPS series is no different as there are many different tournaments available across multiple poker variants. Not only will there be no limit hold ‘em events, but players can also play in HORSE, Omaha, Razz and several other variants and tournament formats. There will even be a cash out tournament for players that feel like they want to take their money partway through and head for the hills.
