The crown jewel in the online poker tournament series at Full Tilt Poker would have to be the Full Tilt Online Poker Series or FTOPS. Its smaller counterpart MiniFTOPS features the same events with smaller buy-ins and the two of those tournaments together represent the largest online poker tournament draw that Full Tilt Poker receives.

The 18th instalment of both tournaments will be taking place soon. Starting the festivities will be the normal FTOPS tournament series which will take place from November 10th through to the 31st and feature 34 different online poker events. At the same time, the MiniFTOPS series will be gearing up to follow its big brother, starting on December 8th and continuing all the way through to the 19th.

The events that will be featured during both tournaments will be the same events that you have seen in previous years. Hold ‘Em, HORSE, Omaha, Hi/Lo and Lowball will be just a few of the variants featured and tournament formats like shootouts, knockouts and Rush Poker will also be part of the draw. This year, new events like Rush Poker HORSE and Rush Poker Omaha Hi/Lo will be on the docket as the new things for people to try if they are feeling adventurous and up for a lot of fast thinking and complicated action.

If you are interested in Full Tilt Poker’s FTOPS and MiniFTOPS tournaments, you can always attempt to qualify for them through satellite tournaments between now and the tournament of interest. Satellites will run for all tournaments and as always Full Tilt Poker will track the success of players in satellites and in the real tournaments as well. The best performing players will receive bonus rewards due to their consistent high standard of play.

This time around, the Main Event of the FTOPS will feature a prize pool worth at least $3 million. Depending on how many people actually play in the tournament this time around, it is quite possible for a high six-figure to low seven-figure grand prize to headline what is always a lucrative online poker tournament series.
