Dream Job Australia About to Start at Poker Stars

Poker Stars is the online poker website that has been credited with starting the online tournament boom by many experts in the industry. They have certainly occupied a dominant position in the online marketplace and now they are continuing to expand that position with Dream Job Australia, their latest online poker endeavour.

It will start out as online poker, but by the end of the promotion we will be following the winner on the offline live tournament poker circuit. Specifically, the Australia and New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) is where Poker Stars will be focusing their energy as far as the Dream Job Australia promotion is concerned.

They are looking for one player to be their representation during the new ANZPT season and you could easily be that player if you have the ability to pass three trials that Dream Job Australia has put in place.

The first is a straight up poker tournament. Freerolls for entry into the weekly finals start from March 1st to March 25th and those finals run every Friday starting March 5th and ending March 26th. The final will take place on March 27th and the top ten finishers in that tournament will get a free trip to Sydney, Australia in order to start the second trial.

The second trial involves those players being grilled by members of the Australian section of Team Poker Stars. The grilling will involve a test of poker knowledge as well as help with allowing the players to use social networking to build up popular support through sites like Twitter, Facebook and Wordpress. This will take place for six weeks at which point the third trial will begin.

After six weeks have passed, Dream Job Australia will end with each of the 10 finalists getting their own online poker tournament at Poker Stars. The rules state quite simply that the person with the most entries ends up winning the promotion. The prize is an extremely sweet $40,000 bankroll for the new ANZPT season as well as $5000/month courtesy of Poker Stars to allow the player to continue playing and learning poker. In total, that means that Poker Stars will hand one lucky person $100,000 through their Dream Job Australia promotion.
