Bank Wires Suggest by PokerStars as a Means of Dealing with Funds Seizure

The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) has been working with some of the payment processors for sites like Ultimate Bet, Absolute Poker and Poker Stars in order to attempt legal action against the government’s Department of Justice for seizing funds worth up to $30 million on a legal motive that was dubious at best. While that particular bit of wrangling continues however, the reality is that many people have been unable to get their money, with checks bouncing and in some cases being delayed by large amounts.

That having been said, it also appears as though the online poker sites are doing everything within their power to make sure that people get the checks and the money that they are due within a reasonable timeframe, in many cases adding bonuses on top of the actual cash out amount as a way to make up for the inconvenience that many players are feeling right now.

In many ways, the government has actually shown the world just how honest the online poker operations are, since it is hard to imagine anything other than a reputable impression being placed on people when they hear that the online poker sites, instead of blaming the government and telling their customers to take the case up with them, are instead refunding the money out of their own coffers and even throwing bonus money in for the inconvenience despite it having nothing to do with any error on their part.

These higher issues are of little interest to players that cannot get their money however, which is why Poker Stars has taken some initiative and lowered the minimum amount required for a cash out through their bank wire option. With the processing for their check repayments backed up by a significant amount, players that have the minimum required to cash out according to the lower bank wire option can get their money in approximately one third the time by selecting that option.

However players begin to get their money back, the point is that the online poker sites are actively working to get their customers the money by any means possible.
