All Set for World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2009

The schedule is already set, and the countdown has begun for the 2009 edition of World Series of Poker. As the rush for registrations continue to soar by the day, the popular poker portal, Full Tilt Poker, is leaving no stones unturned in its efforts to garner player attention from all corners of the world, by ramming up its promotions, media coverage, alongside offering lucrative qualifying tournaments for prospective WSOP aspirants.

But the most noteworthy promotional offer with Full Tilt Poker is the $10 Million Main Event Mania, which promises an additional $10 million to the winner of WSOP, provided the player had qualified through Full Tilt Poker. This is the fifth year Full Tilt Poker is putting up such a mind-blowing offer. In 2007, a player, L Watkinson came agonizingly close to winning the bounty, only to bow out in the final table of the Main Event.

For players, Full Tilt Poker offers umpteen chances to qualify for the WSOP tournament in the weeks ahead. For example, there is this 81-player shootout tournament twice daily, the winner of which could take home a $12,000 Main Event prize package. This is apart from the five times a week weekly qualifier tournaments run by the portal. Further, as the date draw closer to the D-day in late May, Full Tilt Poker will run a "150 Seat Guarantee" tournament, wherein the top 150 players will win Main Event packages. Also, there’ll be daily ‘Race for Bracelet’ tournaments in which one could win $2,000 prize packages that would come handy in entering preliminary events at WSOP. Is it all? Never!

There are also other ways to get to WSOP through Full Tilt Poker. For example, a "Stimulus Qualifier" tournament having a $200,000 guarantee would be held wherein one could win any of the 80 guaranteed seats for Event No. 4, the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event. Further, one could take part in the ‘Race for the Main Event’ in which players attempt to outwit each other for one of the fifty free seats at the 2009 Main Event.

Also, not to miss is the special features from the WSOP, featuring Phil Gordon, Howard Lederer, and Michael Craig.
