4th Bodog Poker Open on its Way
Bodog Poker has not really been a big boy in terms of the online poker traffic numbers, but it always did have something that no other online poker site did. That something was the Bodog Poker Open. Even though there are other events around that are larger and better attended than the Bodog Poker Open, the event has received a surprising amount of success and attention considering the relative smallness of the Bodog Poker operation.
The 4th instalment of the Bodog Poker Open is set to start on the first day of November. It will continue through to the 8th day and will have multiple tournaments during that time that will cover the gamut of hold ‘em events. Collectively, the tournaments will feature gaming action with no limit, pot limit and fixed limit betting structures.
Each of the tournaments that occur during the week will be able to send their winners to the final championship event that will take place on the final day of the tournament. This championship event will crown the winner of the Bodog Poker Open IV and will also allow that winner immortality both in the Bodog Beat news service and also in the Card Player Magazine periodical. That winner will also have bragging rights at least until the fifth version of the Open comes along.
As previously mentioned, the Bodog Poker Open is not the only major online poker series of tournaments that players attend. In fact, the World Championship of Online Poker at Poker Stars and the Full Tilt Online Poker Series both draw quite a few more players and many more big names than the Bodog Poker Open.
However, the success of the Bodog Poker Open is not the fact that it is able to match these two giants of online poker. It has never been that fact. The Bodog Poker operation is small, but the Bodog Poker Open is huge. It even draws some of the biggest names in the business. For that reason, the Bodog Poker Open has earned its place amongst those other larger online poker festivals.
