Full Tilt Poker is going to make things a bit more challenging for some of their more dedicated and well respected players. This challenge is for players who have the ability to play not only heads-up poker – but also the bankroll. These players will have to prove to Full Tilt Poker that they are the best.

The championship has been labeled Full Tilt’s $25K Heads-Up World Championship – which will begin May 24th and 25th (Saturday and Sunday), 2008. This will be the highest buy in ever (that we know of) to be recorded for an online heads up event.

The championship will begin only one week after the FTOPS VIII series (already in progress) is finished. The 2008 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Champion and Chris Ferguson – member of Team Full Tilt will be hosting the event. We have heard rumors that there will be many other Full Tilt poker stars attending including Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer, and Phil Ivey.

Ali Nejad and Phil Gordon will be giving the post commentary on all of the key hands and match ups that will be recorded. The event is said to start May 24th at 15:00 ET.

The buy in is $25,000 – which can be more than some of us can handle. Full Tilt is aware of this problem – but assures us that he has everything under control. In order to make sure that enough people get their chance to play. To help those in need they will be hosting two or three online qualifiers a few days before the event. May 22nd and 23rd (Thursday and Friday) will be the days that these buy in events will take place and the entry fee into this exclusive event $500+35. Both of these buy in events start at 15:00 ET.

Full Tilt’s $25K Heads-Up World Championship is going to be quite an event to look forward to and will play host to a large group of competitive poker players who are ready to prove that they have what it takes to become the next best thing in the world of professional poker.
