Sometimes it feels like a vague impression and at other times it feels like a lifetime situation. Online Poker’s Spring Championship, which has been going on for the past couple of weeks on Pokerstars, has been successful enough in capturing the attention and time of the Poker world which exists over the net. The Championship, which comprised of more than 110 tournaments, had a total prize money worth of $50 million.
This SCOOP event, which is the biggest of all, has been played down to only 3 finals in 2010. Once the play gets over, it is ensured that the pro of Pokerstars George Lind earns the prestigious SCOOP player of the year honor. In this race, he edges out Francis Cagney for the title.
While Lind sat back and relaxed, the group of players who made a survival to the second day of their respective events vied for a particular spot at the final table.
Just to give a statistics of how it went, the earnings for Midgat was $10 for every single person he outlasted on his route to SCOOP victory in this massive field. With more than 19,000 people participating in the tournament, it means Midgat earned a whooping $190,000 in his account today. It was a tough path to gain this victory with Andre Akkari, the pro of Team Pokerstars sitting at the final table.
Akkari got busted out in the fifth place only having earned $57,564. But at the same time he was successful enough in earning the bragging rights of giving the best finish in all of the three SCOOP main events.
For Mr. Money it might not have a big payout day but he was successful enough in earning $443,000 today. To add, he was also distinguished for being one of the 3 SCOOP main event winners.
