World Series of Poker of 2010 recorded its highest winning of the tournament of $1.5 million. Michael Mizarchi was the winner of this astounding amount. Michael, also known as “The Grinder”, is moving fast up the ladder and is becoming the contender of joining the club of famous poker players of the world. The buy-in for the $1.5 million prize game was $50,000 and Michael took it just after weeks of having an encounter with the IRS or Internal Revenue Service. This win will surely establish Michael as a reputable poker player.
This win has also put Michael Mizarchi on the prestigious ESPN’s poker player listings. This list is generated by the media for ESPN.com and is commonly known as the “The Nuts’. Dan Cypra of poker News Daily is on the panel that decides the ranking and inclusion of the poker players in the list. As per the panel if Michael was to be considered for the listing when he first entered the tournament then he would have grabbed the number 2 or 3 slot on the list. However, if Michael continues to perform in the same manner in which he is doing right now, he might well be getting that position very soon.
Michael has also begged the runner up position in the qualifier round of WSOP Academy Tournament of Champions. He was up against Poker Stars pro Bertrand Grospellier. Michael is at the 10th position in the rankings but his consistent performance at the WSOP can easily take him up on the list very soon.
