Annie Duke, the poker icon, has emphasized on the legitimization of the online poker this Wednesday. According to Duke, it is much safer to play poker games over the internet than playing it in the brick and mortar casino halls.
The significant improvements in The World Series of Poker held in Las Vegas is due to the ever increasing fame of online gambling, as said by Duke after attending the event. It was estimated that in today’s world around 70 million players enjoy poker online.
Duke made her point more clear by saying that it is not justifiable to prevent the gambling lovers to enjoy the online poker only because some of the people are opposed to it.
She added that it is really not detectable if a person is cheating on a real card table or not. However, software has the ability to track down every single move of a player and record all previous actions made by everyone. This allows things to be revised in case of any suspicion on that particular user.
“The victims of cheating scandal at the Ultimatebet.com were refunded $22 million, where as I never heard of anything that an affected person is getting his lost money back at the table game” said by Annie Duke.
The professional poker player, Annie Duke, also struggled at the reality show “Apprentice” by Donald Trump and witnessed the ‘House Financial Service’ hearing on the bill to make the online tax gambling legal.
Barney Frank, the United States House Representative, argued that the people, who are against the bill, can be categorized into two different groups. One comprises the contenders, who want to decelerate the growing demand of online gambling. Other people are those, who want to restrain this online gambling from its roots.
Michael Fagan, a former prosecutor, on the other hand, stated that while it is pretty much possible for a real casino operator to make responsible human assessment, online gambling can never do this, instead it only tries to manipulate every single candidate for its own profit.
